There are lots of things I ought to be telling you about.\u00c2\u00a0 My weekend at the beach.\u00c2\u00a0 The photo shoot.\u00c2\u00a0 The fact that I read Tom Piccirilli’s The Cold Spot<\/em> in little more than a day (I’m a notoriously slow reader) and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.\u00c2\u00a0 That I enjoyed Iron Man<\/em> and, despite some misgivings, The Forbidden Kingdom<\/em>, and expect this summer’s movie season to be vastly superior to last summer’s.<\/p>\n

I could tell you I’ve started watching Lost<\/em>, and tonight finished the last episode of the first season.\u00c2\u00a0 (Don’t tell me anything.\u00c2\u00a0 Nothing.\u00c2\u00a0 Nada.\u00c2\u00a0 Comprende?)<\/p>\n

The mailman left a bunch of books on my door the past few days, some of which are bound to be worth mentioning.<\/p>\n

But none of this (and I apologize to anyone who might feel put out by this) will make it into tonight’s entry.\u00c2\u00a0 Because tonight, the only thing I’m here to tell you is this: I’m overdue for an entry.\u00c2\u00a0 I should be saying something, here, to you.\u00c2\u00a0 But right now, despite that I have many things I could say and quite I few I might say and some I should say, tonight nothing will be said.\u00c2\u00a0 Unspoken, perhaps the tales and tidbits will grow, multiply, possibly fester as they wait.\u00c2\u00a0 Some, doubtlessly, will shudder once and disappear, forever unsaid.\u00c2\u00a0 Others will demand attention, and will get it.\u00c2\u00a0 But not tonight.<\/p>\n

Tonight, my mind is unfocused.\u00c2\u00a0 I couldn’t stay on a single topic if I tried.\u00c2\u00a0 So much bouncing around inside my head.\u00c2\u00a0 Some good, some bad, some ugly, some downright confusing, and some of it wonderful and terrible and strange.\u00c2\u00a0 Snapshots, really.\u00c2\u00a0 Iotas.\u00c2\u00a0 Hints.\u00c2\u00a0 Teases.<\/p>\n

Soon enough, I will again brave the depths of my own mind, and share with you some of what I find.\u00c2\u00a0 Make no mistake, this is the place where that will happen.\u00c2\u00a0 But tonight, I tread only the shallow waters.<\/p>\n
