Yep, despite that time is money, I seem to have neither on hand.<\/p>\n

Every dollar I earn is spoken for.\u00c2\u00a0 Every minute of the day, occupied.<\/p>\n

Upon a time, I had cash in hand, a little bit of leisure time.\u00c2\u00a0 Now, I have so many writing and photography projects in my head, it seems impossible to squeeze them all into a single day.<\/p>\n

And now that I’ve played with my friend’s Nikon, I want my own.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve re-doubled my savings this week, and now have $1.36 of the roughly $1,200 I need to start.\u00c2\u00a0 And I mean start: I just looked through their catalog of lens, found one I liked, and then learned the price: an 80-400 lens (long telephoto) for only about $6,000.\u00c2\u00a0 Fortunately, that’s not one of the first lenses I’ll need.<\/p>\n

My 40th birthday is this year.\u00c2\u00a0 What are the chances of everyone I know sending me at least $4 for my birthday?\u00c2\u00a0 That won’t get me the $6,000 lens, but it ought to get me the camera and the first lens I want (a mere $700 for that).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
