<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"I’ll admit, I haven’t been 100% satisfied with most of these pictures, though that’s mostly to do with my own self-image and other such inane stuff.\u00c2\u00a0 Today, however, I went looking for a place to take a picture, and I found the place, and I took the pictures.\u00c2\u00a0 It was an immensely dissatisfying experience.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m not entirely sure why.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe because I’d already lost the sun.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe because I don’t much like the way I look on film (or digital).<\/p>\n
When I got home, none of the photos would work.\u00c2\u00a0 It bothered me that, highly visible in every shot (these were long shots, wide angle in fact, and had all of me on wooden steps with vines), is the fact that I have a mobile phone clearly visible in my pocket every time.\u00c2\u00a0 It just sticks out.\u00c2\u00a0 It shouldn’t be there.\u00c2\u00a0 I didn’t know until too late.<\/p>\n
So I tried taking pictures of me at the computer looking at these photos.\u00c2\u00a0 I wasn’t happy with any of those, either.\u00c2\u00a0 Couldn’t quite capture what I wanted.<\/p>\n
So this, basically, was an attempt to capture how I felt about it all.<\/p>\n
