Carousel

At night, they come to life and frolick on the beach.

I’ve always had a fascination with carousels.

It’s safe to say I’ve always had a fascination with carnivals and fairs and amusement parks.

My first roller coaster was at Rockaway Playland.  It doesn’t exist anymore.

My most recent roller coaster was the Cyclone.

And while the roller coaster is always exciting, there are two rides to which I find myself inexplicably drawn: the Ferris Wheel, and the Carousel.  So much so that both played a part in my story, “The Lead Horse”, which was published many years ago in a little-seen anthology put out by a no-longer-existing small press.
